FAQs

How to Buy
How do I buy items on Instagram? Collections are generally announced and previewed at least 24 hours in advance with a specific planned date/time. Items will be posted at that time, most often with bid/BIN prices.

What is BID/BIN? Bid: bid start price like an auction; BIN: buy it now price.

How else can I buy items? I do live sales on Instagram from time to time. They're sometimes planned and sometimes unplanned. Turn on notifications to be alerted when I'm live!

Instagram isn't my thing. How else can I buy? I post items on my website as often as it makes sense for me, but at least once a week, at a minimum. I also cross-post my items on most of the popular secondhand shopping apps.

Shipping
Do you ship internationally? Yes! On the website, shipping is calculated automatically by your location + weight of the items. On Instagram, I calculate shipping with the same information.

How do you find such inexpensive international shipping? I use Pirate Ship, which has the least expensive rates I've found. Please note: This cheapest method of shipping does move more slowly than others.

I need my items quickly for an event or vacation. Can I get faster shipping? Yes! On the website, there are multiple shipping speed options at checkout. On Instagram, you can DM me and I'll quote other shipping rates/speeds.

Where do I find my tracking information? Tracking is sent by email at the time of shipping. Please check your spam, and feel free to message if you don't see it!

What is your shipping turnaround time? Shipping times vary, as I tend to batch shipments on two days each week. In general, your items will be sent no more than five business days after your payment is received. If you require faster shipping, feel free to message!

Do you hold bundles? Yes, I'm happy to hold off on shipping for you to add more to your bundle. I ask for a shipping "deposit" upfront in the event life gets crazy for you or me and I need to ship, but this rarely happens. Unless you're planning to save a box's worth of items, I'll cap shipping at $8.50 for US customers.

How to Sell
Do you buy vintage kids items on a consignment basis? Yes! I'm happy to buy items you have in your possession, and I think this is a big part of circular fashion.

How does that work? It can work however is easiest for you, but I generally prefer to review items via photos or video prior to accepting them, as I find and receive such a large amount of clothing. Click here for more info on our consignment structure!

Do you buy out other kids vintage shops? Yes! If selling kids vintage clothing is no longer a good fit for you, I am happy to consider buying your stock. Please message me!

Other
Where do find these items? Anywhere and everywhere! I put lots of time and effort into finding amazing kids vintage for you. Thrift stores, consignment clients, estate sales, garage sales, wholesale suppliers, etc. I've even dug through a hoarder's home abandoned in the early 00s -- with permission!

Have items been washed? What detergent do you use? I wash and sanitize most items, unless I'm certain they were already washed before coming into my possession. I use a gently scented detergent.

Is your home smoke free and pet free? Our home is smoke free, and we have two dogs who do not spend much time around the clothing.

Yellow Clover
Where did the name come from? Clover: I have four kids, like four leaves on a four-leaf clover. I started selling vintage OshKosh first, and their logo is a four-leaf clover. Yellow: One of my favorite colors, because it evokes happiness. It's a reminder to do business in a way that makes me happy + brings happiness to others.

Who works at Yellow Clover? Just me, Natalie Seitz! I'm a mom to four kids and live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I was previously a social worker and have some experience working for design magazines.

Do you have a storefront or do markets? Not at this time. I love how my current set up allows lots of flexibility for my family.

When did you start? I've been buying and selling secondhand kids clothing since I became a parent 8 years ago. I started selling in BST groups on Facebook and secondhand apps. I created Yellow Clover on Instagram under a different name in July 2020 and developed my website shortly after that.
